About this role

The Field Sales role develops new business for EventHub, an event-marketing SaaS platform used for webinars, conferences, exhibitions, academic meetings, and business meetings. The platform supports event delivery, data analysis, customer touchpoints, lead generation, and sales activities.

The role identifies the underlying needs of prospective corporate customers and proposes solutions with a roadmap toward successful event execution. Responsibilities include new-customer development, solution sales, lead generation through exhibitions and networking events, competitor and market research, and planning outreach strategies based on that research.

The position also contributes to building repeatable sales operations. Duties include developing sales strategies, standardizing effective sales approaches, analyzing data through the Salesforce CRM, and setting and tracking KPIs for the sales team in cooperation with the manager. The role provides customer feedback to the development team, supports product improvement, hands customers over to Customer Success after closing, and assists with account management.

Additional responsibilities may include planning and operating networking events for existing and prospective customers, speaking at company-organized events or webinars, and supporting exhibition booths. The position can involve work across functions in The Model and customer coverage ranging from SMBs to enterprise companies. Experienced managers and mentors provide opportunities to learn sales practices; webinar speaking and event-operation responsibilities may be taken on according to preference.

Required qualifications are at least three years of corporate sales experience, IT literacy, and the ability to work effectively in an environment that is not yet fully structured. Experience in intangible products or solution sales is particularly welcomed. Preferred qualifications include sales experience in the SaaS or cloud industries, experience launching a sales function, work experience at a startup including an internship, SFDC administration experience, and knowledge of the event or marketing industries. The posting also seeks people who can form and test hypotheses, value a customer-focused sales approach, want broad experience across functions, and identify with EventHub’s stated mission.
