The Global IT Auditor supports audits across Mizuho Financial Group and its overseas offices in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. The role works with local audit departments to apply global standards and local regulations concerning IT controls and cybersecurity, and shares effective audit practices across overseas offices and group companies.
Responsibilities include collecting internal control conditions and risk events identified through audits at overseas business locations, identifying root causes and common global issues, and supporting or guiding audit planning and individual audits. The auditor also selects common global audit themes, plans audit scopes, methods, and schedules, and leads global audit operations.
Candidates must have experience in IT or cybersecurity auditing, including internal audit experience related to IT controls or cybersecurity controls at a financial institution or other business corporation, or external audit experience at an audit firm. Business communication skills in English are required, including the ability to understand overseas business practices, negotiate and discuss matters with local auditors in English, and build agreement on discussion and coordination objectives. English at around TOEIC 800 level is expected.
Preferred qualifications include CIA, CISA, CISSP, information-processing, information-security, or other IT-related certifications. Understanding of global IT governance or overseas IT operations such as office management and development is also preferred. Experience in organizational management, practical IT issue resolution, or recommendations from a management and business-strategy perspective is welcomed.
The internal audit group covers Mizuho globally and works closely with financial institution operations, IT governance, and cybersecurity governance. The position involves investigation, analysis, and communication across domestic and overseas locations and diverse business functions. Training includes onboarding, on-demand learning, and support for obtaining and maintaining certifications such as CIA, CISA, and CISSP.
This is a permanent, full-time position in Tokyo. Telework locations may be included among company-designated workplaces.
