About this role

This role leads the strengthening of IT risk management frameworks and governance across overseas regions and locations. Responsibilities include developing and integrating policies based on global standards, building an integrated IT risk management framework and platform, monitoring IT governance operations, identifying issues, and supporting improvements to IT operations at overseas locations.

The position involves assessing existing rules and challenges across regions, planning and leading policy revisions and process changes, reporting to management, and responding to regulatory authorities in different countries. It is also expected to support the development of a global IT risk management advisory function. Candidates joining at a potential level may receive responsibilities progressively according to their experience.

Required qualifications include practical experience in global IT projects, practical experience identifying issues such as process improvement and planning responses, and business-level English proficiency. Examples of relevant backgrounds include IT or systems risk management at a foreign financial institution, headquarters planning at an internationally expanding company, consulting or audit firm experience, and systems auditing at a financial institution.

Knowledge or experience in IT risk management and security management is preferred. The posting also welcomes experience in English communication involving negotiation or facilitation and change management involving overseas stakeholders, including organizational or process transformation.

The role supports global IT governance and involves collaboration with overseas offices, exposure to different regulations and risk management methods, and creation of new governance mechanisms rather than only operating established processes. The position is based in Tokyo and allows hybrid work combining office attendance and working from home. A flextime system with core hours may apply. Meetings with overseas locations may require early-morning or evening work, and overseas business travel may occur for on-site interviews and discussions with local management. The employment contract has no fixed term. Standard working hours are 8:40 to 17:10, with 7.5 working hours and a 60-minute break, subject to departmental flextime arrangements. The position is full-time and permanent, with a six-month probationary period. Holidays include weekends, public holidays, year-end and New Year holidays, annual paid leave of 21 days subject to first-year conditions, and other special leave. Social insurance, commuting support, meal assistance, employee shareholding, childcare-related discounts, housing-related programs, financial planning support, and leisure support are stated benefits.
