GO App Business and Project Promotion Manager Candidate

As a member of the Project Management Office reporting directly to executive leadership, this role leads important projects supporting GO Inc.'s growth and the resolution of social issues. Responsibilities cover planning, execution, launch, and improvement of new services and products, initially as a hands-on project contributor and later across multiple projects and teams.

Day-to-day work includes launching and advancing important projects in new and existing businesses; defining KPIs, roadmaps, and project structures; organizing information and issues to support decisions by executives and business leaders; coordinating and negotiating with diverse internal and external stakeholders; collaborating and negotiating with external partner companies; identifying and resolving project issues; managing projects and teams to maximize outcomes; and contributing to process improvement and operations within the Project Management Office.

Examples of projects include developing new transportation options between public transportation and taxis, solutions for regional transportation challenges, additions to the GO app such as AI reservations, priority passes, and preference settings, new ride experiences such as GO Premium, algorithms to optimize the balance between users and taxis, business services including GO BUSINESS, solutions for taxi operators, next-generation devices installed in taxi vehicles, and demonstration projects for new systems with government agencies.

Required experience includes approximately three or more years in business planning, business promotion, or project management at an operating company or consulting company, plus experience advancing projects by involving multiple stakeholders where interests differ. Preferred experience includes leading or managing teams or projects, market or customer data analysis, sales strategy planning, marketing strategy planning, and project management for system development. Desired skills include structuring complex matters, identifying essential issues, solving problems, and communicating and managing relationships with multiple departments and stakeholders.

The Project Management Office belongs directly to the GO App business division and has 14 members with an average age in the early thirties. The role may later include managing multiple projects, developing members, and building the organization. It may also lead to assignments in business planning or business promotion departments.

This is a full-time permanent position in Minato, Tokyo. The company uses a super flextime system with no core hours. Working days are generally required on scheduled workdays.
