About this role

This role is an executive-candidate position within GO株式会社’s HR headquarters. The HR organization has 26 members across HRBP, labor, recruiting, and L&D functions, and is expanding from business-unit support toward broader Center of Excellence capabilities.

The role connects management agendas with HR by structuring medium-term personnel and organizational issues, proposing solutions to management, coordinating interests with executives and business-unit heads, and advancing company-wide initiatives. Responsibilities also include organizing and prioritizing the functions HR should provide, working with the head and deputy head of HR to manage the 26-person organization, and advancing cross-functional issues across HRBP, recruiting, labor, and L&D. The position contributes to creating an environment in which general managers can perform effectively.

Additional responsibilities include participating in HR headquarters management; designing and improving personnel, compensation, and evaluation systems; building talent-management and succession-planning processes; establishing KPIs and data infrastructure for human-capital management; and analyzing organizational surveys to plan and implement improvements. The individual’s primary area of expertise may be recruiting, HR planning, labor, organizational development, or another HR specialty, with the agenda shaped according to experience and strengths.

Required experience includes working at department-director level or above in an operating company; directly negotiating and building consensus with executives and business leaders; delivering strong results in a core HR specialty; and advancing HR agendas from a management perspective, including medium-term issue setting and solution design. Experience managing HR at a major growth company or listed company, HRBP collaboration, personnel-system or compensation redesign, listing review or internal-control work, compliance preparation, and data-driven HR initiatives is welcomed.

The position is based in Minato, Tokyo. Employment is full-time and permanent. Compensation is determined according to skills and experience and includes 45 hours of fixed overtime per month, except when hired as a managerial supervisor. Salary revisions occur twice yearly and a performance-linked one-time payment is provided annually. The work system is super-flextime with no core hours. Benefits include social insurance, transportation reimbursement up to 50,000 yen per month, allowances, paid leave, holidays, and other stated company programs.
