About this role

This full-time HRBP Recruiting Manager role sits in the People Forward headquarters’ mid-career business recruiting planning department. The position oversees business hiring across the company and its divisions, linking talent acquisition with management and business strategies. It covers hiring strategy, sourcing, selection management, recruiting operations, onboarding connections and collaboration with HRBP teams supporting frontline business units.

The role is expected to establish a company-wide hiring strategy and a broader people-flow design. Responsibilities include understanding each business roadmap, setting hiring priorities and balance across the organization, redefining selection standards with post-hire performance in mind, and connecting recruitment with onboarding and manager-support content. The manager will optimize the end-to-end process from candidate-pool development and channel selection through selection administration and HRBP coordination. During organizational restructuring, the role will help create a shared recruiting model that works across the company and will manage the team’s performance.

The position also leads recruiting operations and the supporting data environment. Duties include directing the use of technology and AI to automate and improve selection processes, building scalable operations with BPO and other external partners, and preparing analysis environments for data-driven decisions. Recruitment-market information and internal organization data will be structured and analyzed to support decisions by management and HRBP teams. The current focus is recruiting planning, with an expected gradual expansion into the wider people flow, including onboarding.

The organizational context includes simultaneous growth in SaaS and Fintech business areas, a company-wide shift toward an AI-focused operating model, and a major HR reorganization consolidating HR functions, including HRBP support for engineering and design roles. The role may work with internal technology teams and global engineering teams on requirements definition and implementation of AI selection-assistance and interviewer-support tools.

Required experience includes at least approximately three years managing a recruiting team or leading recruiting projects in one of the stated environments. One route is experience managing annual hiring of at least 200 people across an environment with more than 150 active job types, involving multiple domains and different occupations rather than high-volume hiring for one role. Another is experience as a recruiting project owner or senior project manager at an RPO or recruiting consultancy, supporting large or growing companies with annual hiring volumes from several dozen to several hundred people. Experience modernizing recruiting processes with data, IT tools or AI; defining system requirements; working as an HRBP; managing or supporting rapid organizational growth from 500 to more than 1,000 people; working across multiple HR functions; developing cross-department recruiting strategies; or leading HR or business-planning projects is preferred.

The position is based in Minato, Tokyo, with a hybrid work style. Attendance at the office is generally required two days per week, with three or more days recommended, subject to company and business conditions. Working hours use a flextime system with a standard eight-hour workday, a 60-minute break, flexible hours from 7:00 to 22:00, and one of the stated core-time schedules of 10:00 to 15:00 or 9:30 to 14:30. The employment type is regular employee, with a three-month probation period and no change in conditions during probation. The stated annual salary is JPY 8,000,000 to JPY 12,000,000, paid monthly, including fixed allowances for specified overtime and late-night work; additional overtime above the stated limits is paid separately. Benefits include social insurance, nearby housing and relocation benefits, a rent deduction program, health examinations, influenza vaccination, book-purchase assistance, a corporate defined-contribution pension, an employee stock ownership plan, and specified service discounts. Compensation is reviewed twice a year, and a performance bonus may vary with business results. Holidays include Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, paid leave, three summer days, two winter days and year-end holidays from December 31 to January 3.
