Internal Audit Planning

This full-time position is in the Internal Audit Group’s Business Audit Department. The role plans and advances internal audit operations. Responsibilities include creating and operating audit plans, procedures and rules; proposing and implementing measures to improve internal audit activities; and planning and promoting training to strengthen auditors’ expertise.

An interest in internal audit is a required condition. Experience at a financial institution or audit firm is desirable. Welcome qualifications include Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Class 1 Securities Sales Representative, and Internal Control Manager. Business-level English is also listed as a welcome condition.

The position is based in Tokyo, and telework is available. The department has introduced a flextime system with core hours from 10:00 to 15:00. The standard schedule is 8:40 to 17:10, with 7.5 scheduled working hours and a 60-minute break; where flextime applies, the department’s operating rules are followed. Overtime and holiday work may be required.

The employment is permanent, with no fixed contract term, and includes a six-month probationary period at the same salary. Depending on experience, an individual employment treatment may be offered. Duties may change to other duties designated by the company, and the work location may change to company-designated locations, including telework locations. Compensation is discussed according to company rules, experience, ability and suitability. Monthly pay may include a deemed overtime allowance; if that system applies, overtime beyond the prescribed hours is paid according to the time worked. Supervisory managers do not receive overtime or holiday-work allowances.

Regular holidays are Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays and the year-end holidays listed as December 31, January 2 and January 3. Annual paid leave is 21 days, with the first-year amount depending on the hiring month, plus other special leave. Benefits and allowances include full reimbursement of commuting expenses and a lunch subsidy under company rules. Social insurance covers employment, workers’ compensation, health insurance and employees’ pension insurance.
