International Standardization Lead

The International Standardization Lead sits in AIRoA’s Corporate Strategy Division and supports an organization developing data resources and general-purpose robot foundation models. The role covers standards in AI robotics and adjacent fields, monitoring developments in Japan and internationally and identifying areas where proposals can advance industry coordination. The work includes reviewing JIS, IEC, ISO and other draft standards; preparing technical comments and proposed revisions; and drafting standards through research and stakeholder coordination. The lead connects international standardization trends with AIRoA’s strategy, facilitates collaboration around member companies’ open-and-closed technology strategies, and engages government bodies on key issues and policy proposals. Applicants need to participate in standards committees, interpret technical meeting materials and committee drafting conventions, and prepare comments and revisions. They must also be able to develop and advocate AIRoA’s views as a member of committees or study groups convened by government-related organizations.
