IR/SR work includes understanding shareholder composition and communicating with institutional investors, including activists. Takeover defense work includes vulnerability analysis, takeover defense measures, contingency plans, hostile tender offers, and shareholder proposals.
Required experience may include advisory work in these areas at a financial institution or consulting company; execution or promotion of these activities in the corporate planning or IR-related department of a listed company; or experience as a sell-side or buy-side analyst. Candidates should have expertise in corporate governance, corporate value enhancement measures, and IR/SR.
The position also requires the ability to actively learn about the relevant business areas and to produce clear materials and presentations. English ability is acceptable as a preferred qualification.
This is a full-time, permanent position in Tokyo. The standard working hours are 8:40 to 17:10, with 7.5 scheduled working hours and a 60-minute break. Flextime may apply depending on the department. Overtime and holiday work may be required. Annual leave is 21 days, with first-year entitlement depending on the hiring month, in addition to weekends, public holidays, year-end and New Year holidays, and other special leave. The probationary period is six months with the same salary.
