Consultant (Senior Manager)

This full-time role leads end-to-end consulting projects using Sactona, an internally developed integrated management-accounting system for large enterprises. Responsibilities cover proposals for improving management processes, business design, system implementation, operational support and further improvement proposals.

The Senior Manager leads multiple complex projects, manages client expectations and is responsible for high-quality delivery. The role also owns application and system design proposals that address the underlying needs of clients and maximize implementation value. Additional responsibilities include managing the consulting department and teams, strengthening the organization, designing career paths, promoting OJT and off-the-job training, monitoring project quality, creating and implementing internal processes, and developing follow-on or adjacent solution proposals through client relationships.

Required qualifications are at least three years of practical experience in system implementation or upstream business-improvement consulting at an IT consulting firm, SIer or similar organization; at least three years of experience managing projects with multiple members or managing and developing a consulting organization; and accounting knowledge equivalent to or above Japan’s Bookkeeping Level 2. Preferred experience includes consulting on EPM, budgeting, management accounting or ERP implementations, a Manager-level or higher position at a consulting firm, planning and delivering reviews or training to improve business and system design, and leading complex projects for companies with annual sales above 100 billion yen.

The role supports enterprise clients in manufacturing, finance and retail, including major Japanese companies. Its main product is Sactona, while the wider group also provides Manageboard, Money Forward Cloud Consolidated Accounting, michibiku and conkan, along with AI-supported assessment, system implementation and digital automation consulting.

Employment is with Money Forward, with a secondment to Outlook Consulting. The locations are offices in Minato, Tokyo. The work style is hybrid: attending the office at least two days per week is generally required, and three or more days are recommended, subject to the company and team situation.

The probationary period is three months with no change in conditions.
