Mid-Career Recruiter

WealthNavi, a fully automated asset-management fintech now a wholly owned subsidiary of MUFG Bank, is hiring a mid-career recruiter to own recruitment end-to-end. The role partners with department heads on hiring strategy and tactics, writes job descriptions, and drives PDCA across sourcing through onboarding to hit an annual hiring target spanning dozens of roles across engineering, business, admin, and finance functions (each JD typically filling one to two openings). Duties include planning and executing recruiting strategy, sourcing via agencies and scouting, managing candidate pipelines, running casual interviews and offer interviews, negotiating and closing offers, and sharing company-wide recruiting improvement initiatives. The recruiter may also support hiring for a new digital bank being prepared jointly with MUFG Bank, including possible secondment to the preparatory company. Depending on experience, responsibilities may expand to mentoring/managing other recruiters or employer branding work. Required: hands-on mid-career recruitment experience, either in-house or on the agency/RPO side; strong logical, clear, and engaging writing ability; strong drive toward results; and the ability to push projects forward amid uncertainty. Preferred: experience recruiting engineers or designers, experience at fast-moving IT/startup companies, and fintech experience; financial-industry background is not required. Full-time, flextime with core hours 10:00-16:00, hybrid work (3+ office days/week), salary JPY 6,000,000-10,000,000/year, based in Nishi-Gotanda, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo.
