About this role

This full-time role develops an aggregation business that uses grid-connected storage facilities to provide balancing capacity needed for renewable-energy expansion. The position works with power companies, power-generation businesses, storage-facility operators, development and EPC companies, equipment manufacturers and trading companies, and financial institutions.

Responsibilities include planning the business-development and sales strategy; identifying and developing partners; organizing client needs; preparing proposals and conducting presentations and negotiations, including financial simulations; closing deals; and advancing business operations. The role covers the aggregation business for grid-connected storage facilities across high-voltage, extra-high-voltage, and low-voltage applications. It is involved from strategy and scheme design through proposals, negotiation, closing, and operation.

Candidates should be interested in addressing customer or partner issues through valuable proposals, learning new knowledge and industry structures proactively, contributing to changes in the energy industry and social infrastructure, and building their career. Preferred backgrounds include business development or corporate sales, solution-based sales, consulting, financial institutions, power generation or grid-storage businesses, real-estate project development, or energy-industry work. Interest in energy and electricity, willingness to learn, and comfort working with numerical data are also welcomed. Energy-industry expertise can be learned after joining, and second-career candidates and people without industry experience are welcomed. Training and support from team members are provided as responsibilities expand.

The role is based in either Minato, Tokyo, or Chuo Ward, Fukuoka, and either location is acceptable. Employment is full-time with a three-month probationary period. The work uses a flextime system without core hours, with eight standard working hours and a one-hour break; start and finish times can be set freely. Employees normally work on-site five days per week, while remote work is permitted only for health or family circumstances. Annual salary is JPY 4.5 million to JPY 12 million, determined by experience and skills. The monthly salary range is JPY 375,000 to JPY 1,000,000 and includes fixed overtime pay for 45 hours and a fixed late-night allowance for 20 hours; excess overtime or late-night work is paid separately.

Holidays include weekends, public holidays, year-end and New Year holidays, and designated company holidays. Annual leave, maternity and postnatal leave, childcare leave, and nursing-care leave are available, with 125 annual holidays. Benefits include a JPY 50,000 welcome payment, book-purchase assistance, regular health checks, company housing, commuting expenses, influenza vaccination, and health, pension, employment, and workers’ compensation insurance.
