For business-process control testing, candidates must understand general securities-business processes through experience or knowledge of securities operations, or have experience conducting internal-control audits at an audit firm or similar organization. Experience in accounting or general ledger operations is an advantage.
For IT control testing, candidates need database knowledge and the ability to extract data from databases and analyze it, or create analysis tools, using Microsoft Access and Excel.
