Responsibilities include quarterly tax calculations, various tax filings and notifications, consolidated/standalone tax filing, tax effect accounting (consolidated and standalone), coordination with tax accountant firms, handling tax audits, and general accounting/finance/tax/management support for group subsidiaries, plus tax consultation on individual transactions. A key mission is working with the in-house systems team to digitalize these tax processes. Depending on aptitude and experience, the role may expand into overseas expansion, M&A, and corporate reorganization work. Requires 5+ years of experience either at a tax accounting/accountant firm or in an in-house tax role at a business company. Preferred: experience with organizational restructuring tax systems, M&A, international tax, a licensed tax accountant qualification (or passed subjects), and experience driving tax process digitalization or business improvement. Full-time position based in Shibuya, Tokyo, with two days per week remote work.
