Senior Solutions Architect (Pre-sales) – Public Sector

This senior Solutions Architect role sits within Databricks’ Field Engineering organization and supports public sector customers in Japan. The focus is on helping ministries, agencies, local governments, and public institutions shape data and AI strategies around the Databricks platform, with responsibility for strategic accounts and high-impact government use cases.

The role defines target architectures and roadmaps, leads solution design for areas such as citizen services, program analytics, smart infrastructure, cybersecurity, and fraud prevention, and designs for data residency, access control, governance, and auditability. It also turns pilots into production platforms, works with systems integrators and cloud providers, and mentors other architects and partners.

Applicants should have at least five years of experience in data platforms, analytics, or cloud architecture, including significant experience with public sector organizations in Japan. The posting also requires a strong background in data engineering, data warehousing and analytics, AI/ML, or cloud architecture, experience with public sector solutions, and the ability to lead senior stakeholder discussions in Japanese.
