Manager, Forward Deployed Engineering

This is a hands-on engineering management role within Databricks’ Forward Deployed Engineering team, a customer-facing group that designs, builds, and productionizes data engineering and AI solutions on the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform. The manager leads a team of about 10 engineers serving strategic customers and remains the senior technical escalation point.

The work spans customer discovery, architecture, implementation, deployment, enablement, design reviews, production debugging, and delivery process improvement. The role partners with Sales, Field Engineering, Product, and Professional Services while developing reusable technical patterns for modern data platforms, pipelines, governance, and production workloads.
