About this role
The BizOps role designs, implements, and continuously improves the operating structure of a platform business. The business provides payment infrastructure, credit capabilities, and financial operations to external partners, supporting the launch and growth of partner-branded card businesses. Because KYC requirements, fraud-response procedures, and customer-support workflows differ by partner, operations are becoming more complex as the business grows.
Responsibilities include visualizing and analyzing partner-specific workflows across KYC, fraud response, customer support, collections, and card production management. The role standardizes and streamlines these processes and contributes to service quality and profitability by optimizing operating costs. It also coordinates operational arrangements with partner companies and internal stakeholders, organizing differing interests to establish an effective and practical operating structure.
The position develops operational KPIs appropriate to each business phase and implements a system for ongoing monitoring. The work is focused on defining and building an operating model that supports the business, rather than only executing established procedures. The platform business is in an early stage, approximately one year after launch, and many of its operations and organizational structures are not yet fixed. Processes and decision criteria developed in this role may form part of the foundation for future expansion and quality.
The team includes Ikuma Saito, the platform business leader, and Kohei Yamagata, a BizDev member. Saito has experience in supply and demand sales, new business development, data-driven marketing support, and serving as CRO at FLUX. Yamagata previously worked at Mitsui & Co. on power-generation and power-related service business development, followed by strategy planning and DX support for an infrastructure business, and now works in BizDev for the platform business.
The work location is the Shibuya office in Shibuya, Tokyo, at Daiwa Shibuya Miyamasuzaka Building 7F, 2-16-1 Shibuya. The selection process consists of entry, a casual interview, document screening, multiple interviews, and an offer. Depending on the results of the casual interview or document screening, the company may decide not to proceed if it cannot propose a position matching the applicant’s preferences or experience.
