Daiwa Corporate Investment

This full-time permanent position is a secondment from Daiwa Securities to a group company. The initial assignment is the Investment Operations Department of Daiwa Corporate Investment, supporting the administration of fund business, including Cayman-domiciled funds.

Day-to-day responsibilities include practical support for fund formation, including preparation support for LP Agreements; preparation of fund financial statements under IFRS and US GAAP; settlement operations for overseas investments; and administrative procedures with overseas administrators and foreign financial institutions, including Subscription Agreements. The position also handles domestic and international compliance matters related to FATCA, CRS, and the Act on Prevention of Transfer of Criminal Proceeds.

Applicants must have knowledge of accounting standards, specifically US GAAP and IFRS. English ability is required. Experience conducting IFRS audits at an audit firm is welcomed, as is experience in asset administration at a trust bank.

The role requires the ability to use legal and accounting knowledge related to the fund business to develop proposals, work with overseas financial institutions and overseas GPs, organize matters logically on an evidence-based basis, and explain them clearly. Flexibility and the ability to act quickly are also desired qualities.

The employment type is regular permanent employment, with one position available.
