Daiwa Corporate Investment

This is a secondment position at a group company, initially assigned to the Investment Planning Support Office of Daiwa Corporate Investment. The position is a player-level role.

The role supports fundraising for the establishment of new funds. Main activities include proposing fund investments to financial institutions and operating companies and assisting with investor recruitment. The work is mainly backup support carried out in coordination with front-office staff.

The position also involves presenting investment opportunities and providing the company’s expertise to existing and potential investors. The successful candidate will identify and address investor issues while developing medium- to long-term partnerships.

Additional responsibilities include exploring collaboration with operating companies that have corporate venture capital functions and planning and implementing non-standard support measures, such as matching services, based on investor needs.

Required experience includes corporate sales experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to build positive relationships. Experience in venture investment, new business creation at a large company, corporate sales at a venture company, or due diligence related to fund investments is welcomed.

The role is intended for someone with a strong interest in the startup industry and new business or technology creation, who can work effectively with internal and external stakeholders and take initiative.

The employment type is permanent employment. The work location is in Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.
