Renewable Energy Investment Deputy General Manager

This role is a secondment position at Daiwa Energy & Infrastructure from Daiwa Securities. The position focuses on investment in real assets such as renewable energy power plants, including solar, wind and biomass projects.

The role covers the full investment lifecycle, from sourcing opportunities through sale. Responsibilities include finding, negotiating and securing sites; conducting preliminary investigations and planning; coordinating grid connections; handling facility certification and permits; communicating with local residents; and selecting EPC contractors.

Further duties include due diligence, investment analysis, structuring, documentation, arranging loans and executing investments. After investment, the role manages assets, monitors project figures and handles sales execution. As a manager-level position identified as 次長, the main responsibility is leading project acquisition and negotiations both before and after investment.

Applicants must have at least two years of investment experience and practical experience as the person responsible for a project, or comparable achievements and expected capability. Experience in renewable energy or infrastructure, financial modeling for project finance, and data processing or analysis skills such as Excel are welcomed. Related qualifications, including securities analyst qualifications, are also welcomed.

Potential backgrounds include operating companies, trading companies, construction companies, renewable energy divisions of investment companies, and project finance divisions of banks.
