Food and Agriculture Consulting Project Leader

This role provides management and business consulting services for clients in the agriculture and food industries. As a project leader, the successful candidate will develop clients, lead sales activities, prepare proposals, and guide work from planning documents through contract acquisition.

Responsibilities include supporting clients with strategy development and execution. Depending on the project, the role may also provide M&A support. The position also involves external communication, including preparing reports, giving presentations and lectures, and serving as an instructor.

Required experience is project leader experience in management or business consulting services; the target industry or business area is not restricted. Candidates must have skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as logical thinking, problem-solving, analytical ability, proposal skills, presentation skills, and the ability to involve clients and build interpersonal relationships.

Experience in both consulting services and agriculture or food-related fields is welcomed. Experience communicating externally in a personal area of expertise, communication skills with management-level personnel, and a network in the agriculture and food industries are also welcomed.

The position is based in Tokyo and other locations. It is a regular employee role with working hours from 8:40 to 17:10 and a one-hour break. Holidays include a five-day workweek with Saturdays and Sundays off, public holidays, and the year-end and New Year period. Annual paid leave is 17 to 23 days, prorated for mid-year hires; hourly annual leave, nursing care leave, and maternity and childcare leave systems are also available. Smoking is prohibited during working hours. Salary is discussed with the candidate and provided during the interview process.
