Energy Project Manager

This role is responsible for project management of an invested domestic biomass co-firing power generation project at Daiwa Investment Management, a group company handling businesses surrounding and alternative to securities operations. The position is a secondment from Daiwa Securities to the group company.

Responsibilities include operations related to fuel procurement and electricity sales, on-site management including numerical and business management, planning and execution of value-up measures, and planning and execution of the exit strategy. The role may involve regular business trips to investee companies and, in the future, assignment at an investee company. Depending on career history and practical experience, the person may also serve in a management position at an investee company, such as executive, site manager, department manager, or team leader.

Applicants must have multiple types of business experience at an energy-related company, trading company, plant engineering company, financial institution, or fund. Relevant experience includes technical work in the plant or power-generation field, work related to electricity markets, fuel procurement, renewable-energy development, project finance, or asset management.
