Investment Professional

This full-time position is planned for Tokyo at Daiwa PI Partners, where the role focuses mainly on investment activities for Asian growth companies. It is a player-level position initially assigned to Daiwa PI Partners, Inc. On secondment from Daiwa Securities.

The work covers front-office activities across multiple investment areas, including minority investments in Asian growth companies, venture investments, financing with conversion rights, and limited-partner investments in investment funds. It also includes coordination with the Singapore office, corporate planning and administration, and general-partner work for investment funds currently being operated.

Required qualifications include basic knowledge of accounting, taxation and legal matters, logical thinking, communication skills, and business-level English ability. Candidates must have several years or more of investment experience at a financial institution, public institution, consulting firm or operating company, or comparable experience in M&A-related work or LBO finance.

The role requires a strong willingness to engage in overseas investment activities. Practical capabilities are expected in persistent communication with internal and external stakeholders, analysis and understanding of diverse businesses, application of legal, accounting and tax knowledge, company valuation, and contract negotiation.

Overseas work may become possible in the future after consultation with the candidate. The employment status is regular employee. The possible duty scope is the work designated by the company, and the possible work-location scope includes company-designated locations, including places where telework is performed.
