Clients are primarily listed companies, with some unlisted companies also covered. The work includes pricing and allocation in coordination with coverage and debt capital markets underwriting teams and sales teams, as well as related offering and documentation activities.
Equity Syndication responsibilities cover syndication for equity finance transactions such as public offerings, initial public offerings, and convertible bonds. Clients are mainly listed companies, together with unlisted companies seeking an IPO. Responsibilities include pricing and allocation coordinated with coverage and equity capital markets underwriting teams and sales teams, plus related offering and documentation work.
Applicants must have experience in debt syndication, debt capital markets, or secondary-market bond sales, including retail sales, or bond trading. For the equity function, experience in equity syndication, equity capital markets, or secondary-market equity sales, including retail sales, or equity trading is required. Business-level English is welcomed.
The position is offered at Analyst, Associate, or Vice President level. It is a permanent employee position based in Tokyo, with the possibility of transfer to an overseas office after gaining a certain amount of experience in Tokyo. The employment term is indefinite, and a six-month probationary period applies. Standard working hours are 8:40 to 17:10, with 7.5 working hours and a 60-minute break; flextime may apply depending on the department. Weekends, public holidays, and specified year-end and New Year holidays are off. Annual paid leave is 21 days, subject to a reduced amount in the first year depending on the hiring month.
