About this role
The Digital Marketing Consultant will join the team building an advertising-focused digital marketing support business around PLAID’s CX platform, KARTE. Working with the team leader, the role participates in creating the business, services and organization from an early stage. It provides integrated support across advertising, CRM and data analysis, with a focus on improving outcomes such as customer lifetime value and return on investment.
As a project owner, the consultant understands each client’s key performance indicators and business strategy, designs customer experiences and communication scenarios, and handles proposals and execution support from start to finish. The role builds relationships with clients and works as a partner to major companies, particularly businesses providing consumer-facing services. It also makes use of customer touchpoints created by the sales team and existing products.
Responsibilities include developing and proposing digital marketing strategies, communicating directly with clients, hearing their issues and defining the problems to solve, designing and managing the overall initiative, presenting solution ideas, responding to competitive proposals, and preparing proposal materials. The consultant reports to clients, prepares reports and suggests improvements, then determines tactics, measures and delivery methods and supports their execution.
The work may include account design, submission management, advertising-account adjustments, selection of keywords and targeting, ad-copy writing and creative direction. Additional responsibilities include tag implementation, data-platform construction, data visualization and data analysis. The consultant also checks members’ work quality and provides training to improve it. Planning can cover web advertising, landing-page production, social-media marketing, CRM, data-platform construction and data analysis according to client needs.
The position is part of a business and product-development phase. It may contribute to developing products related to KARTE data use and advertising for KARTE clients as the business moves toward fuller development from fiscal 2026 onward. The work combines clients’ first-party data with behavioral data accumulated by KARTE to support client growth. Projects mainly involve major companies with consumer services and can have a broad reach.
The work location is the head office in Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo. The working arrangement combines office and remote work. Depending on company and team circumstances, a certain number of office days may be requested; the business side currently generally attends the office three days per week.
