This role is part of the Equity Capital Markets department and covers origination and syndication work. The department manages equity-related solutions for listed and unlisted companies, from daily information sharing with clients and proposing specific solutions through to transaction execution.

The work requires monitoring changing financial markets and considering domestic and international investor trends when selecting suitable methods and timing from multiple options. Transactions must be executed accurately within the frameworks of the Companies Act and the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act.

Responsibilities include analyzing situations, coordinating with internal and external parties involved in transactions, carrying out due diligence and documentation work, and negotiating financing conditions.

Preferred experience includes equity wholesale operations, investment banking, consulting firms, private equity funds, venture capital, or asset management companies. Business-level English ability is welcomed, as are specialist skills or a willingness to learn finance, accounting, legal, and tax matters. Candidates should be able to prepare materials using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. First-class securities salesperson certification is preferred and may be obtained after joining.

Required qualities are motivation to work proactively, accurate analytical ability aligned with objectives, logical thinking, and cooperation with team members.

The department includes members from wholesale and retail divisions as well as career hires. Training includes financial analysis, English, presentation, leadership, and MBA-related programs. The position is full-time and based in Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. Working hours are 8:40 to 17:10 with a one-hour break. Holidays include two-day weekends, public holidays, and the year-end and New Year period. Annual paid leave is 17 to 23 days, with prorating for mid-year hires, along with hourly paid leave, nursing leave, and childcare and nursing-care leave systems.
