Digital Asset Financial Business Planning and Development Specialist

The role plans and executes new businesses and services in the crypto-asset financial business area. It defines specifications and requirements for systems supporting digital-asset products and services, and designs related business workflows.

The position also develops the business from a technical perspective while considering integration with existing financial systems. Responsibilities include negotiation and coordination with Daiwa Securities Group companies and vendors, as well as collecting and reporting on current technology trends in crypto assets and Web3.

Required experience includes development or design of mission-critical systems in fields such as finance, payments, or telecommunications. Candidates should have a basic understanding of technologies including crypto assets and blockchain; practical experience is not required if the knowledge has been acquired through self-study.

Experience in project management or product management, launching and growing a new business, or developing products at a financial institution or crypto-asset-related company is welcomed. Business-level English, including reading and writing, is also welcomed.

The position is a full-time regular employee role at the Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo office. Working hours are 8:40 to 17:10 with a one-hour break. Holidays include a two-day weekend, Saturdays and Sundays, public holidays, and the year-end and New Year period. Annual paid leave is 17 to 23 days, prorated for mid-year hires, with hourly paid leave and nursing, maternity, and childcare leave systems available. Smoking is prohibited during working hours. The scope of workplace locations includes places designated by the company, including locations used for telework.
