Infrastructure Investment

This is a secondment position at Daiwa Energy & Infrastructure from Daiwa Securities. The role covers investment activities for infrastructure assets. Responsibilities include sourcing and originating investment opportunities, conducting due diligence and investment analysis, structuring transactions, and preparing documentation.

The role also supports internal procedures required to execute investments and arranges loan financing. After investment execution, responsibilities include asset management and monitoring, as well as controlling the overall project schedule and costs and working to reduce risks. At the player level, the main focus is investment promotion and practical due diligence work.

Required experience includes practical experience in investment promotion and due diligence, and practical experience related to infrastructure investment or project finance. Experience with only part of the listed responsibilities may be accepted. Preferred experience and skills include business-level or higher English ability, financial modeling for project finance, practical experience in renewable energy investment, and IT literacy and data processing skills.

The posting identifies candidates from operating companies, trading companies, construction companies, infrastructure divisions of investment companies, and project finance divisions of banks. The position is full-time and based in Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. Working hours are 8:40 to 17:10 with a one-hour break. Holidays include two days off per week, Saturdays and Sundays, public holidays, and the year-end and New Year period. Annual paid leave is 17 to 23 days, prorated for mid-year hires, with hourly annual leave, nursing leave, and maternity and childcare leave systems. Smoking is prohibited during working hours. The scope of duties and work location may change according to company rules, including locations where telework is performed. A reference check may be requested during the selection process.
