About this role

The role covers either institutional investor sales for corporate pensions or sales support related to asset management. The sales function serves corporate clients with pension schemes, public pension funds, financial corporations, and educational corporations. Responsibilities include explaining investment portfolios and products, proposing solutions, proposing the establishment or review of pension and retirement benefit schemes, and promoting web-based sales and marketing through digital transformation.

The asset management sales support function provides investment proposals and performance reports for corporate pension clients and supports pension sales representatives. Responsibilities include proposing investment solutions and products suited to client needs, preparing client investment reports, promoting work related to corporate pension asset management, supporting pension sales, and consulting on policy asset allocation and portfolio construction based on investment objectives and market conditions.

For the institutional investor sales track, applicants must have experience in sales or consulting for corporate pension and other institutional clients. For the asset management sales support track, applicants must have experience in pension investment operations at a trust bank or investment advisory company, or be a securities analyst who has passed the second-stage examination and has pension sales experience. Both tracks require communication skills for understanding customer needs and logical thinking for developing solutions. Desired qualifications include experience at an investment consulting company. Additional preferred qualifications for the asset management sales support track include investment experience in a financial institution market division, asset management-related qualifications such as CFA, insight and analytical ability regarding financial markets, presentation and document preparation skills, and PC skills.

The asset management sales support position is assigned to the General Strategy Management Department, a specialist department for corporate pension marketing and investment consulting within the asset management company. New employees receive approximately one week of classroom training before assignment to their field department.
