Preferred qualifications include specialist knowledge of laws and regulations related to securities operations, including the Companies Act and the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act, as well as finance and accounting. Experience in public offering underwriting, investment banking or practical work as a certified public accountant is welcomed. Business-level English ability is also welcomed.
The department works with startups and other clients and supports risk capital supply for startup growth. The position may provide exposure to IPO and equity-finance knowledge, end-to-end involvement in IPO processes, and deeper understanding of clients’ businesses. Career paths to other investment-banking departments, including M&A, ECM, CF and financial sponsors, are available. Training includes financial analysis, English training including a short-term language program in Cebu, and MBA-related training.
The position is based in Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. Working hours are 8:40 to 17:10 with a one-hour break. Holidays include two-day weekends, public holidays and the year-end and New Year period. Annual leave is 17 to 23 days, prorated for mid-year hires, with hourly annual leave, nursing leave, and childcare and caregiving leave systems. The employment type is permanent employee.
