M&A Advisor

The role provides general advisory services for the execution of domestic and international M&A transactions involving listed companies and private equity funds. Responsibilities include project management, valuation, structuring and negotiation.

Candidates should have a strong interest in working as an M&A advisor and be able to demonstrate leadership while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including clients. Required knowledge includes corporate finance and accounting, taxation, and legal matters such as the Companies Act and the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act. Candidates should also have PC skills for preparing client presentations using Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and English ability demonstrated by a TOEIC score of 860 or above. Relevant experience may include investment banking, an audit firm, a bank, a general trading company, corporate planning or finance at an operating company, or management consulting and other corporate business roles. Applicants without prior M&A experience may develop the required skills through self-study after joining.

The team includes members from diverse backgrounds and emphasizes teamwork. The business works with overseas offices, and short-term assignment opportunities are available to many employees. The position is based in Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. Telework and a flextime system are available. The employment type is permanent employee.
