Recruiting Lead

Newmo is seeking a recruiting lead to oversee crew recruitment for its Tokyo area and support the launch of transportation operations in Toranomon. The role is the first recruitment team member for this area and will help design and develop the recruitment function itself.

The position involves creating and executing a recruitment strategy based on crew hiring targets. The lead will manage existing sourcing channels across job boards, recruitment agencies, and Hello Work, and optimize candidate pool generation across those channels.

Responsibilities also include designing and managing recruitment KPIs, identifying issues through data, and planning and implementing improvements. The lead will remain involved in hands-on recruiting work, including candidate communication, conducting interviews, and coordinating with field teams.

The role will lead efforts to improve the productivity and quality of the entire recruitment process by using technology, including AI. It also includes setting goals for the recruitment team, managing progress, and developing and evaluating team members in order to maximize output.

The role supports recruitment for a mobility startup addressing transportation challenges in Japan. Crew recruitment is described as a core part of the taxi business because hiring outcomes are directly connected to vehicle utilization and revenue. The position combines recruitment strategy with execution and is intended to continuously update recruitment practices through data and technology. The listed work location is in Shinagawa, Tokyo.
