Security Project Manager

This full-time position is part of the Business Department’s Security Unit. The department uses small SAR satellite data in solution services related to urban planning, infrastructure development, natural-disaster response, and security. The Security Unit connects customers with development teams and proposes solutions to customer challenges.

The role covers large-scale projects in the security sector from initial customer development and proposal work through post-order project management, contract-related tasks, and coordination with other departments and partner companies. Day-to-day responsibilities include understanding customer issues and requests, shaping opportunities through short- to mid-term proposals, and sharing customer feedback with internal development teams for product and service improvement and specification planning.

The position manages awarded projects as the customer contact, coordinating schedules, tracking progress, and preparing documentation. It also involves team building, task management, support for team members’ progress, analysis of customers’ service usage and results, and proposals for improvement.

Required qualifications include either at least three years of product management or project management experience, or at least two years of experience at a strategy or general consulting firm. Candidates must be able to communicate logically, involve relevant stakeholders, and move work forward. A basic understanding of software technology is required for collaboration with development teams.

Japanese is required at native level. English is required at a level allowing reading, writing, and oral communication without resistance. Preferred experience includes negotiations and coordination with government agencies or local authorities, bid-related work, or work in security, infrastructure, construction, civil engineering, or GIS. Experience in IT consulting for governments or large enterprises, contract negotiations with partner companies, corporate sales, or B2B SaaS and cloud services is also welcomed.

The posting identifies the position as hybrid in Tokyo. The head office is in Koto-ku, Tokyo, at 3-10-3 Miyoshi, with a planned move on November 1, 2026, to Harumi Island Triton Square Office Tower Y, 38F, 1-8-11 Harumi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo. The permitted work-location range includes company-designated locations, including places used for remote work. Indoor smoking is generally prohibited, with an outdoor smoking area on the premises.
