Wealth Advisory M&A Specialist

This position is in the Business Succession and M&A Business Office within the Wealth Advisory Department. The role handles business succession and M&A-related work while coordinating with internal teams and partner companies. The posting requires a record of taking M&A clients from sourcing through closing.

Applicants must have at least five years of experience in small and medium-sized enterprise M&A. They must also be able to prepare documents and presentation materials using Excel and PowerPoint. Experience working for a financial institution is advantageous. A certified public accountant or tax accountant qualification, as well as an M&A Senior Expert qualification, is welcomed.

The desired candidate background is described as experience with a financial institution or an M&A boutique. The employer is Daiwa Securities Co., Ltd., whose stated business includes securities trading, securities intermediation, underwriting and related financial services.

The employment type is regular full-time employment, with two positions available. The work location is the Grant Tokyo North Tower at 1-9-1 Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. Working hours are 8:40 to 17:10, including a one-hour break. Holidays include two-day weekends on Saturdays and Sundays, public holidays and the year-end and New Year period. Annual leave is 17 to 23 days, prorated for employees joining during the year; time-based annual leave, nursing leave and maternity and childcare leave systems are also listed.

Salary is discussed with the applicant and is provided in detail during the interview. Smoking is prohibited during working hours.
