Support e-commerce growth through Amazon Ads sales and campaign optimization, or advise manufacturers on marketplace product, sales, store, and launch strategies.

About this role

This is an open position in CARTA ZERO's EC Marketing Division. Assignment to either the Account Manager or E-commerce Consultant track is determined based on the candidate's experience, preferences, and aptitude.

Account Managers handle issues for e-commerce clients centered on Amazon and develop and execute digital marketing strategies. The role combines proposal sales for Amazon Ads to advertisers and advertising agencies with consulting on Amazon performance advertising. Responsibilities include proposing ad strategies; acquiring new advertisers, agencies, and projects; supporting Amazon Ads adoption; designing delivery strategies; and pursuing repeat business and upselling.

For existing clients, Account Managers identify issues, optimize advertising operations, develop and execute sales-improvement measures using Amazon advertising products, analyze delivery results, prepare reports, and propose improvements. They also propose e-commerce strategies that coordinate with other sales channels, work with internal sales, advertising operations, and engineering teams, and strengthen relationships with Amazon to promote use of advertising products.

E-commerce Consultants support manufacturer growth through e-commerce sales strategy services. They advise on product and sales strategies for Amazon and Rakuten Ichiba, with the goal of maximizing manufacturer profit. Work includes supporting new marketplace openings, consulting for manufacturers that sell or do not yet sell on marketplaces, planning sales strategies and operational support for marketplace stores, directing marketplace builds, and public-relations activities such as speaking at seminars. Amazon, Rakuten Ichiba, and Qoo10 are the main marketplaces handled. New opportunities may originate through seminars, white-paper download lists, or inquiries from advertising agencies.

For the Account Manager track, candidates need at least two years of corporate sales or advertising-operation experience, plus experience using Excel, PowerPoint, generative AI, or other IT tools efficiently to plan, propose, and improve solutions for customer issues. For the E-commerce Consultant track, candidates need at least two years of consulting or operational experience for e-commerce malls at a manufacturer or support company. Direct client proposal or review experience, presentation skills, interest in digital marketing and ad technology, knowledge of retail distribution and sales strategy, and the ability to advance business while considering business strategy are listed as preferred qualifications.

Employment is full-time with no fixed contract term and a three-month probationary period with no change to working conditions. CARTA HOLDINGS employs the successful candidate and seconds them to CARTA ZERO. Expected annual compensation is JPY 4.5 million to JPY 8.0 million, determined in consideration of prior salary, ability, and experience. Monthly pay consists of base pay, a life-plan allowance, fixed overtime pay for 45 hours, and fixed late-night pay for 15 hours; excess hours are paid separately. Performance-based fiscal-year bonuses and incentives may be available, and pay reviews occur twice yearly.

The office is in Toranomon, Minato-ku, Tokyo. Standard hours are 9:30 to 18:30, including a 60-minute break, with an eight-hour workday. A super-flex system has no core hours and allows work between 6:00 and 22:00; overtime may occur. The scope of work and workplace may be changed by the company, including secondment destinations and remote-work locations.

Holidays include a full two-day weekend, national holidays, year-end and New Year holidays, annual paid leave, bereavement leave, bonus leave, and wellbeing accumulated leave. Benefits include commuting expenses up to JPY 50,000 per month, insurance, dental examinations, brain screening for eligible employees aged 30 or above, childcare-sitter discounts, defined-contribution pension options, career-development programs, and other stated employee discounts. First and second interviews may be held online, while the final interview is expected to be in person. Background, reference, and compliance checks may be conducted during selection.
