This role supports manufacturers' business growth through planning and executing e-commerce strategies centered on online marketplaces. It covers channel, product, and sales strategy across Amazon, Rakuten Ichiba, Yahoo Shopping, and Qoo10, with a focus on maximizing manufacturer profit.
Responsibilities include hearing issues in new client meetings, developing proposals, and implementing agreed work. For existing clients, the consultant designs annual strategies, conducts regular monthly or project-dependent biweekly meetings, analyzes current performance and gaps, discusses measures, and drives execution. The role also supports new marketplace openings, directs the initial setup and operation of EC programs, coordinates with BPO, and consults both marketplace-selling and non-selling manufacturers. Leads may originate through advertising agencies, EC marketplaces, internal sales referrals, company seminars, and white papers.
Applicants must have at least two years of EC marketplace consulting or operations experience at a manufacturer or support company. Preferred experience includes consulting for Amazon or Rakuten Ichiba, EC marketing to increase sales for an owned e-commerce site, and EC direction in production, development, or operations. Relevant knowledge includes distribution structures and sales strategies in manufacturing or retail, together with the ability to advance business while considering business strategy and pursue sales growth through EC.
Employment is full-time with no fixed term. There is a three-month probationary period with no change to working conditions. The employee is employed by CARTA HOLDINGS and seconded to CARTA ZERO. Expected annual salary is JPY 5.5–8.0 million, determined based on prior salary, ability, and experience. The monthly pay includes base pay, a life-plan support allowance, fixed overtime for 45 hours, and fixed late-night work for 15 hours; excess amounts are paid separately. A fiscal-year bonus and incentive may be paid based on performance and results, and salary reviews occur twice per year.
The work location is Toranomon Hills Station Tower, floors 36–38, 2-6-1 Toranomon, Minato-ku, Tokyo. The scope of possible work locations includes places determined by the company, remote work, and secondment destinations. Standard working hours are 9:30–18:30, with eight working hours and a 60-minute break. A super-flex system has no core hours and allows employees to determine working time between 6:00 and 22:00; overtime may occur.
Holidays include two days off per week on Saturdays and Sundays, public holidays, year-end and New Year holidays, annual paid leave, bereavement leave, bonus leave, and wellbeing accumulated leave. Benefits include commuting expenses up to JPY 50,000 per month, group-discount GLTD insurance, specified health services, babysitter discounts, a defined-contribution pension option, career development programs, and social insurance coverage.
