About this role

This is a full-time, mid-career ERP consultative sales position in Tokyo. The role supports executives of small and medium-sized businesses with an integrated cloud ERP. It goes beyond explaining product functions by identifying management issues and proposing solutions connected to business decisions.

Using financial data and market indicators, including CEP, the role makes current management risks visible. It examines and redesigns business workflows to improve efficiency, profit margins and cash-flow management, then proposes solutions and leads the client's decision-making process.

Insights from customer discussions are used to identify industry-specific issues, such as preventing loss-making projects at production companies. The salesperson develops and promotes proposal packages, including sales materials and scripts, and converts individual sales practices into a repeatable approach that can improve win rates across the organization. Customer voice is shared with development and marketing teams, contributing to product improvements and marketing initiatives.

The position supports freee's integrated cloud-software platform for small and medium-sized businesses and individuals. The platform includes accounting, HR and labor management, sales management and other back-office products. The role is part of an expansion beyond cloud accounting toward a broader platform for SMB management, and includes designing and executing go-to-market strategy and developing a new market. The posting describes opportunities to gain experience growing a new business from early creation through expansion while using the assets and reliability of a listed company together with startup-style speed and discretion.

Required qualifications are at least three years of corporate sales experience or equivalent experience negotiating with customers, autonomous process-management skills directed toward achieving targets, and experience questioning existing methods and proposing and implementing improvements.

Preferred experience includes sales or consulting for SMBs, sales planning or other planning work, leadership of a sales team, training, or manual creation. Experience in SIer, SaaS, IT or consulting industries is also welcomed. Candidates are expected to understand the company's mission, make reasoned decisions based on experience, identify underlying management issues rather than only explain product functions, act with speed and flexibility, improve processes while building repeatable systems, and continue working with performance figures in the uncertainty of a new business.

Online interviews are available.
