About this role

This full-time HR Business Partner is dedicated to RevComm’s product development division. The division develops software and databases using AI, voice technology, and cloud technology. The role is being established to address organizational issues, build an organization strategy aligned with business and development strategies, and lead its implementation to support product growth.

The HRBP works closely with the VPoE and engineering managers to identify issues specific to the engineering organization and implement fundamental solutions. Responsibilities include understanding organizational and talent-related issues by working closely with each department; supporting department heads and managers with people management; planning and driving organizational improvement initiatives such as 1-on-1 design, development plans, and engagement measures; and supporting departments across hiring, placement, evaluation, development, and broader HR functions. The role also feeds workplace perspectives back to management and HR planning to improve HR systems and processes. Workforce planning, talent portfolios, and the organizational design of the future development organization are also part of the mission.

Required qualifications include at least two years of general HR experience, such as HRBP experience or experience as an HR manager or head of HR. Candidates must have experience working with business leaders on approaches that contribute to organizational results, structuring organizational issues, and turning them into concrete solutions. Practical HR experience supporting engineers or product development organizations in an IT company, together with an understanding of engineering-organization culture, is required.

Experience or knowledge in organizational development and talent development, planning or operating HR systems, and serving as an HR manager or head of HR in an organization of approximately 150 to 300 people is welcomed. The posting also seeks experience improving engineering departments in an operating company, carrying HR initiatives from planning through execution and review, experience in a growth-stage company with more than 100 employees, deep knowledge of engineering organizations, and the ability to work with business leaders on organizational bottlenecks. Curiosity about underlying issues and the persistence to address questions without fixed answers are also valued.

The annual salary range is JPY 7.5 million to JPY 12 million, with the final terms determined according to experience and ability. The salary includes a fixed overtime allowance for 45 hours per month regardless of whether overtime is worked; additional premium pay is provided for overtime exceeding 45 hours. The position is based at the Marunouchi Building in Chiyoda, Tokyo, and full remote work is available from a location where information security can be maintained, including the employee’s home, subject to exceptions for some positions. Working hours use a flextime system with no core time.

Benefits and conditions include transportation expenses, leased housing support, social insurance, subsidies for books, multilingual learning and lessons, babysitting, seminars and study meetings, and professional certifications. Side work is permitted with approval. Holidays include a two-day weekly schedule, public holidays, annual paid leave, year-end and New Year holidays, two to three summer days, six days of family leave subject to conditions, birthday leave, condolence leave, and other statutory leave. The probationary period is six months with the same salary and treatment after probation. The selection process is document screening followed by one to three interviews, with reference checks before the final interview.
