Responsibilities: contract drafting/review/negotiation (English and Japanese), legal risk assessment and strategic advice for — semiconductor/key-component development and product design/development for PlayStation consoles and peripherals, procurement, software development, R&D, and information-security/IT functions; partnering with regional legal teams on geopolitical/regulatory risk; advising senior management and engineering leaders; and leading, mentoring and developing the legal team (performance management, organizational development). Required: 15+ years of corporate legal experience including in-house counsel at a global company; extensive JP+EN contract drafting/review/negotiation including direct negotiation with major international companies; legal risk analysis and decision support for products/services/initiatives; leading cross-functional projects globally. Preferred: technology-industry legal experience, attorney qualification (Japan or other), overseas work/study, managing multinational teams. Language: business-level+ English; native or equivalent Japanese (JLPT N1+). Full-time, hybrid (office in Shinagawa + remote), Tokyo-based; SIE Legal is ~180 globally with ~35 in Tokyo.
