Overseas Investment & M&A Lead

Money Forward is hiring an Overseas Investment and M&A Lead for its new International Business division, as it moves from a domestic business to global expansion. The company is expanding development bases in India and Vietnam and investing in overseas companies.

The lead drives the process of overseas investment and M&A, working with internal and outside stakeholders. This covers investment strategy and deal flow, including building networks with startup communities and local venture capital funds so that good deals arrive naturally, negotiation, due diligence and contract review. After investment the lead builds performance monitoring for portfolio companies, and in acquisitions leads strategy, execution and post-merger integration.

Applicants need experience in investment at a venture capital firm or business company, M&A at a business company or investment bank, business-level English able to negotiate with overseas executives and investors, experience handling English contracts with legal teams and outside lawyers, and experience building P/L-based business plans. SaaS or fintech experience is preferred.
