Product Manager

The Product Manager will lead the growth of Pep Up, a Personal Health Record platform that consolidates health and medical data and supports users’ health promotion activities. The service is used by individuals through health insurance societies and companies in a B2B2C business model, with approximately 8 million user IDs issued.

Responsibilities include creating the product roadmap, prioritizing initiatives, designing KPIs, and verifying outcomes. The role organizes customer requests, user behavior data, and business issues into product opportunities, develops plans, and drives improvements. It also covers UI/UX, onboarding, and continued-use experiences.

The Product Manager will define requirements and specifications and promote development in collaboration with engineers and designers. The role also requires cross-functional coordination and consensus building with business divisions, customer success, operations, security, and external partners. The position is responsible for considering the user experience, business results, technical feasibility, and external integrations across the overall product rather than focusing on a single feature or domain.

Required qualifications include at least three years of product management experience for a B2B or B2C web service or mobile application. Candidates must have experience structuring user and business issues, articulating the underlying reasons and direction of solutions, and translating them into product planning. Experience working with engineers and designers on requirements definition, specification development, and development execution is required, as is the ability to make decisions while balancing user experience, business outcomes, and development feasibility. Candidates must also understand technical assumptions and constraints sufficiently to discuss them constructively with engineers and have experience building consensus and advancing projects with multiple stakeholders.

Experience creating roadmaps, prioritizing initiatives, designing KPIs, and evaluating results is welcomed. Additional preferred experience includes leading projects across multiple teams, products, or business divisions; practical engineering experience or product management based on deep engineering knowledge; product organization operations, development process improvement, or team building; and interest or experience in healthcare, PHR, wellness, or services for health insurers.

The position is based at the Tokyo office. Working hours use a flextime system with core hours from 11:00 to 15:00; standard working time is eight hours per day with a 60-minute break.
