Lead DX transformation projects in logistics and SCM, collaborating with managers and driving change from conception to execution.
About this role
The Product Marketing Manager serves as the link between product development, business teams, and management for an assigned product. The role translates product value into messages and strategies that customers, the market, and sales can understand and act on, while bringing market, customer, and frontline insight into product and business decisions. It is a hands-on position that requires work in the field rather than strategy planning alone.
Working with Product Managers, the PMM contributes business input to product-roadmap planning and prioritization. The role combines market, competitor, sales, and customer-success feedback, and provides input to development-resource allocation and medium- to long-term strategy. It connects management’s top-line objectives with the product’s growth potential, designs and monitors product KPIs, and proposes allocation of people, budget, and other resources in coordination with the business owner.
A major execution area is enterprise sales. The PMM works with the sales organization to improve outcomes by preparing proposal materials, designing meeting scenarios, maintaining sales tools, attending customer meetings, supporting sales managers and members, and removing bottlenecks in deal progress. The role also plans and executes measures to improve close rates and turns strategy into practical actions that can be used in the field.
The position bridges the business and development sides. It gathers and organizes customer feedback, proposes product improvements to Product Managers, and supports requirements definition from a business perspective. In cooperation with the marketing team, it supports product-specific lead-generation initiatives and webinar planning. It also works with implementation consultants known as ASEs and with Customer Success to organize and standardize the process for delivering value to customers.
The role sits within a product-based organization serving logistics DX in Japan. The stated work location is the Tokyo headquarters in Minato Ward, Tokyo, or another company-designated location such as home. The stated scope may change to the headquarters or another location designated by the company.
