About this role

Databeat is an advertising-report automation tool for digital advertising agencies and marketing professionals. It connects with more than 40 advertising platforms, including Google Ads, Yahoo! Ads, Facebook, X, and TikTok. The tool standardizes and consolidates metrics that differ by platform, stores the data in BigQuery, and provides flexible output to Looker Studio, Excel, and other business intelligence tools. The product is part of the PLAID group, with potential synergies involving KARTE’s first-party data.

This role promotes adoption of databeat by digital advertising agencies and leads strategic activities to expand its market. Responsibilities include planning and executing sales strategy, generating leads, and managing sales activities through implementation for major and mid-sized advertising agencies. For larger agencies, the role proposes solutions that go beyond product sales, including connections with customers’ core systems and internally developed tools.

The position also covers analysis of existing customers, particularly larger accounts, to identify further opportunities for product use and to propose upselling. Findings from customer analysis are fed back into sales strategy and tactics to improve commercial activities. Business development responsibilities include gathering customer needs for the product and planning and implementing measures to improve product value, such as revising the pricing structure and planning optional features. The role also promotes collaboration with PLAID’s various businesses and products to create group-wide synergies.

The team is currently small, so the expected responsibilities will be determined through discussion according to the candidate’s interests and experience.

The work location is the PLAID head office in Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo. The position uses a hybrid work arrangement combining office attendance and remote work. Depending on the company and team situation, a certain number of office days may be requested; the business side currently generally attends the office three days per week.
