About this role
This position is in the Enterprise Risk Management Office within the Group CRO function of Panasonic’s holding company. It advances enterprise-wide risk management and crisis management across the group and supports management decision-making by identifying changes early, enabling appropriate risk-taking, preventing threats, and limiting impacts during incidents.
The role follows up on risk owners’ PDCA processes, covering risk identification and assessment, response planning and execution, monitoring, and improvement. It proposes better processes and plans their continued enhancement. During emergencies, the position helps activate cross-functional internal structures for initial response and containment. It also analyzes megatrends and uses scenario planning to identify early signs of change, then prepares matters for management meetings and the board of directors.
Other responsibilities include planning and operating the ERM Committee, supporting reports to management bodies and the board, and conducting internal and external education and awareness activities. The role develops measures to establish an appropriate risk culture, measures their effectiveness, gathers information from open sources and experts, participates in external organizations and academic societies, and issues reports or research presentations. It also contributes to disclosures in securities reports, the Sustainability Data Book, and other media.

The position requires the ability to view issues structurally, form hypotheses, involve others, and carry work through. The posting also seeks someone who can act independently, respond quickly to change, and avoid relying on precedent. The team is small and flat, with active discussion and consultation and frequent coordination inside and outside the company.
