About this role

This role leads IR planning within the Global Strategy Headquarters and connects management with the capital markets. Responsibilities include developing market communication plans and investor-targeting strategies, planning and conducting meetings with institutional investors, serving as a speaker or coordinating speakers, accompanying overseas roadshows, and arranging local logistics. The role also anticipates information needed by management, plans and prepares presentation materials, and proposes actions to management based on dialogue with investors.

The position is intended to support the current manager and develop into a future team leadership role. Expected contributions include identifying market changes, maximizing opportunities for dialogue, allocating management and IR resources effectively, and enabling productive communication between leadership and the capital markets. The role is expected to contribute beyond routine operations by supporting management decisions.

Applicants should have approximately five or more years of experience independently driving projects in one of the following areas: corporate planning, IR, finance or accounting planning and administration at an operating company; capital-markets-related work at a trading company or financial institution; or strategy and planning work at a consulting firm. IR experience is not required. Experience in corporate planning, public relations or executive-office work close to senior management, or experience proposing to and negotiating with executives in a sales role, is also considered. Experience involving multiple stakeholders and work supporting decisions from a management perspective are emphasized.

Required skills include preparing proposals and reports for executives or equivalent members, particularly planning documents and external materials using PowerPoint, strong coordination with internal and external stakeholders, and English sufficient for basic investor communication, overseas roadshows and local coordination. The stated guideline is TOEIC 800 or above, or equivalent practical experience. Experience in corporate planning or an executive office, stakeholder management in IR, public relations or business functions, and finance knowledge are welcome but not mandatory.

The named tools are Bloomberg, Microsoft Office O365, SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel and Zoom. The IR department is an eight-person headquarters function within the Global Strategy Headquarters. It communicates the Omron Group's medium- and long-term value to the capital markets through investor targeting, market communication plans, earnings briefings, IR Days and investor meetings. The team is small, offers substantial individual discretion, and works closely with management. Omron's business is described as comprising control equipment, healthcare, social systems, electronic components and data solutions segments.

The work location is the Tokyo office in Shinagawa. Flextime and remote-work systems are available. Business travel to Kyoto is expected approximately once every two to three months, with the possibility of a one-week Kyoto trip during the financial results period.
