Strategy Lead

Ubie is a healthtech startup founded by physicians and engineers in May 2017. It uses AI as a core technology to develop and provide Ubie, which guides users from symptoms to appropriate medical care, Ubie Medical Navi, a service package for medical institutions that supports care quality, and solutions for pharmaceutical companies using these platforms.

The Strategy Lead role focuses on company-wide change management and non-linear business growth. Responsibilities include defining the company and organization’s growth story, setting the direction of transformation, converting that direction into concrete plans and short-term targets, and helping the organization move consistently toward them. The role also involves building the organization and mechanisms needed to achieve plans and goals and accelerate business growth.

The main work includes setting growth strategies and short-, medium-, and long-term goals; leading the consideration and execution of initiatives based on those strategies; supporting growth initiatives in each business, including M&A; and creating and implementing financial and organizational strategies. The role also includes preparing corporate governance and management systems for an IPO, as well as considering and advancing company-wide priorities, including coordination with global subsidiaries.

At the start of employment, the person is expected to work closely on strategy development and execution for an individual business to build business understanding, while also participating in fundraising and FP&A activities. After gaining results through this work, assignment to the Strategy Lead position is planned.

The stated work location is in Nihonbashi, Chuo Ward, Tokyo. The scope of possible work-location changes is any place designated by the company. The scope of duties covers all work designated by the company, with the possibility of reassignment to any duties.
