About this role
This Account Sales role serves core and mid-sized hospitals in assigned regions. The position covers new business development, proposals, closing, implementation, post-launch adoption, and ongoing relationship development. It involves hearing directly from hospital stakeholders, designing solutions around revenue improvement and operational efficiency, analyzing progress toward goals, and feeding customer feedback into product and business strategy.
The role sells two healthcare products. Ubie Generative AI provides functions such as text generation, speech recognition, and text search using retrieval-augmented generation, accessible from electronic medical record terminals, smartphones, and tablets. It is intended to reduce the time doctors and nurses spend preparing documents and searching for information. Ubie DPC Supporter uses AI to analyze medical records and suggest appropriate DPC codes, helping hospitals improve the accuracy of reimbursement claims and reduce missed revenue. The products are used by more than 100 hospitals nationwide, including more than 10 university hospitals.
Proposals are made to hospital decision-makers including hospital directors, administrative directors, medical affairs staff, health information managers, and department heads. The work requires understanding each hospital’s management and operational challenges and connecting them with the appropriate product solution. The Account Sales representative accompanies customers from introduction through practical adoption and measures the results created for each hospital.
Industry and product experience are not required. Previous sales experience that can be applied in a medical setting is welcomed, and medical knowledge can be developed after joining. The hospital business division’s sales team includes people with backgrounds in medical-device sales and marketing, inside-sales management, corporate sales in the travel industry, and business development in human resources and organizational development. Members work with different professional backgrounds and use their respective strengths, including experience in intangible-product sales and opening new markets.
Account Sales is the customer-facing role responsible for a broad range of accounts, from initial proposal through closing and post-launch relationship development. Sales Directors handle area strategy, large strategic accounts such as university hospitals, and coaching and support for Account Sales members. The two roles collaborate closely to address hospital challenges as a team. Employees are also encouraged to share information through platforms such as note, X, and LinkedIn and to participate in or speak at lectures, events, and study sessions.
The work location is in Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo. The scope of duties is the range defined for this position; any change required by changes in the business environment is to be decided through discussion with the individual.
