Day-to-day work includes organizing management figures and qualitative facts into insights, setting the agenda for the weekly executive board meeting, preparing materials and discussion frameworks for management and board meetings, and working hands-on with business units on mid-to-long-term vision, agenda-setting, and numerical planning across segments, businesses, and subsidiaries. The role also covers semi-annual strategy and goal assessment of major businesses and portfolio strategy planning to generate synergy across businesses. Required (roughly 3+ years in at least one of): close negotiation or direct reporting experience with management, market/competitive research skills that yield real insight, corporate planning experience at an operating company, or business support/scaling experience at a consulting firm; industry background is not required. Preferred: understanding of financial statements and valuation, analyst experience at a major securities firm, VC due diligence experience, M&A advisory experience at an accounting firm, or business planning experience in gaming, advertising, media, or IP. Full-time, based in Shibuya, Tokyo, with two days of remote work per week; working hours 10:00-19:00 under a discretionary labor system, average overtime about 31 hours/month.
